Kyrgyzstan was such a FUN country! It started off with some of our parents coming and visiting us where we could show them a small glimpse of our life this year. We got to be apart of different ministries with them, introducing them to ATL, and even adventure into the mountains with them It was sweet to be with my dad and get to serve alongside him!

We then went straight into debrief where we got to rest, do some activation, and just be together as a squad as well as get to know our new and final team of the race!!!

Team Bangin’: Matt, Chach (our TL), Han, me, Alice, Corb (our SQL), and Brian!

After debrief, my team and I went to a small town in southern Kyrgyzstan where we had the opportunity to be apart of some sweet ministry. Twice a week we would head to the university and teach English classes. I got to go with my teammates Brian and Han. We created an environment where we led discussion-based classes on specific topics, like US history, education, and global issues. Some good questions were asked, along with some really hard questions. We weren’t allowed to talk about God while in the schools, so some of the questions they asked were hard to answer in that setting. However, our afternoons were spent with some of these same students just having conversations. Each afternoon a local believer and I got to share the Gospel with different students. We would share our personal testimonies, share what Jesus meant to us, who Jesus really is, and what He did for the world. It was a really sweet time of just sharing.

The Lord used this month to grow me in sharing the Gospel and become more confident in bringing up Jesus in conversation. Thank you Jesus for GROWTH!!

One of the blessings of this month was also the staff that we worked alongside and how they welcomed us in with open arms. They treated us like family and we got to be part of a really sweet community of believers. Our last night with them was a time of encouragement, celebrating victories for the name of Jesus, and of course, ending with a bonfire, s’mores, and karaoke (they LOVED karaoke).

The girls were gifted Kyrgyz slippers!

Our final few days in Kyrgyzstan were up by a lake in yurts where the whole squad pulled together for a time of 72 hours of prayer and worship just to simply glorify the Lord. We were in a location where you could tell the Lord was present. In both the creation around us and in the spaces where we spent praying and worshipping. There was no better way to end our time in Kyrgyzstan and enter our FINAL country of this year!

The Lord has been so good and I am excited to see how He continues to work in this final stretch of the Race. Here’s to one more month of being out here on the field!
