Wow! I have officially completed one full week of ministry here in eSwatini! This week has been FULL but such a fun week!! Let me walk you through the days!

Sunday: We went to a local church where they translated the service for us!! How sweet!! Then we headed into town so people could write blogs and get wifi to catch up with their family (we’re out here living off the grid which is honestly so nice).

Monday: We had a full staff meeting with the ministry we’re working with. We got to worship with them, listen to a devotional, and he introduced to all of them. Then we headed into town again to go grocery shopping as well as be open to whatever the Lord has in store for us. We got to talk to different workers and even people on the street!

Tuesday: All three teams went to the same care point! What’s a care point? Well the ministry we’re with has care points all over the country and even all over the region we’re in. They have a preschool where they offer it for free for kids in the community who can’t afford preschool and then in the afternoon they open up to all kids in the community for free meals. The cool thing about this ministry is that they do not turn anyone away from a meal. So even adults can come and get meals from the care points. While we’re there we get to just play and be with the kids that are there. We sing, dance, share Bible stories, let kids nap on us, whatever the Lord leads us into. Care point ministry is SWEET!

Wednesday: The teams split into three different care points while Ben and I took a squad leader day! We went into town to get wifi and wrote receipts, worked on schedules for the upcoming week, talked through some logical things for some upcoming things for the squad, and had a call with our mentor Allie. Overall it was a productive day and a great bonding time with Ben!

Thursday: We were supposed to all go to the same care point as Tuesday but a change of plans happened and we hit the streets! I joined team Dad Bod Squad and we started prayer walking in the rain. We had no idea where the Lord was leading us but He ended up leading us to another believer who we got to pray for and she equally encouraged us! The Lord used this day to encourage us and other believers and we saw the Lord’s hand through it all! We also got to end this day with a night of worship and encouragement between our squad, which was SWEET!

Friday: We split into the three teams at different care points again and I joined team Pisteou and visited a care point I had never been to! I got to play in the rain with the kids and have fun conversations with them. Our day this day was short because of the rain but we made the most of it and had fun!

Saturday: We had a sabbath and had a good time of rest with each other and the Lord!

And that was week 1! It was full. It honestly felt like a whole month in one week. But I saw the Lord move and I was grateful for each day and the differences it held. Grateful I serve a God who is intentional and is fun to do ministry alongside of!

Prayer requests:
– Continued team unity! Living all together is hard but we want to honor and glorify the Lord through it all!
– Strength for Ben and I as we are leading this awesome group of people. We truly want to be led by the Lord.
– For me to be fully fundraised by March! I am at 70% funded and am less than $1300 away from my goal!

Blessings to you all! Thank you for following my week this week! 🙂
